Throw yourself OFF to stay ON CENTER


I'm a huge fan of doing unilateral strengthening (see photo above). Huge. When you increase the load or demand on one side of the body it forces the body to organize in a stabilizing fashion so that you don't get thrown off center.  Want a stronger core?  Throw yourself off balance!  If you stay in your comfort zone all the time you'll never be able to adapt to stress or adversity in a productive or growth producing way.
